The Opportunity
The Bakers Delight Information Technology department is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Data Engineer to join the team on a fulltime, permanent basis. Based in our Camberwell Support Office, the Lead Data Engineer plays the lead role in the managing the both the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Master Data Management applications.
Are you ready to rise to the challenge and “bake” a difference by:
Building out the capabilities of the recently established Azure Synapse Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Provision and manage on-premise and Cloud Microsoft QL Server Databases.
Manage the ongoing Development of the Master Data Management Platform (Profisee).
In addition to the hands-on work, the role requires managing and developing a team of two Data engineers.
Desired Skills and Experience
Let’s hear about you!
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or similar experience will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server and/or Python (PySpark).
Previous experience with MS Azure Synapse environment.
Previous experience with Master Data Management applications (Profisee).
Previous experience supporting retail IT systems would be a bonus.
Previous experience in managing people.
Leading a close-knit team of two, you will have the support and guidance to learn and develop your career further. Your ability to make things happen accurately will hold you in good stead for this role.
