Communicate, collaborate, influence, coach and partner with your portfolio of franchisees

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Area Manager to join our cohesive South Australian Operations Team, supporting approximately 25 retail bakeries across the state. You will be an integral part of the Operations Team and be accountable for the sales and profitability of your portfolio. The role is diverse, challenging, and above all, rewarding. You get to make a difference.

Reporting to the Regional Manager SA, this is a broad operations role where your portfolio covers locations across SA.

 

To be successful in this permanent fulltime role, you would need to:

  • Ensure marketing campaigns are implemented and complied with, and campaign results are measured, communicated and reported on.
  • Provide support to franchisees to improve sales and profitability, implementing and monitoring actions to make positive impacts.
  • Review data to identify opportunities for the future and analyse results to support new opportunities within bakeries across your portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain a portfolio plan to ensure effective management of your network of bakeries, looking at future growth of your portfolio, and developing a talent pool of potential franchisees.
  • Support initiatives for continuous improvement and to raise operational standards across your portfolio.

Regional and some interstate travel is a requirement of this position.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within an operations role in a fast paced and multisite franchised or sales force environment. 
  • Prior work experience and knowledge of a franchise business model is preferred, but not essential.
  • Solid finance knowledge with a good understanding of managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Able to analyse reports and data for strategic business planning. 
  • Experience and feel comfortable coaching and influencing others.
  • Be solutions focussed and able to make quick decisions.
  • Relevant qualifications in small business or frontline management will contribute to the success of the candidate. 
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s licence and motor vehicle is a requirement for this role. 

Bakery experience is not essential as we will provide extensive training to the successful candidate.
