The Opportunity

Working in a full-time capacity, reporting to the Head of Commercial and based in either our Camberwell support office or Chipping Norton, New South Wales office, we need a Commercial Manager who is ready to rise to the challenge and make a difference by (broadly speaking):

  • Assessing the financial health, risk and security of your portfolio of franchise bakeries, making recommendations and partnering with stakeholders to implement suitable commercial and financial solutions
  • Taking a lead role in the Annual Business Review process, focusing on critical franchisees and those for expansion/growth and assessing the overall financial health of the network
  • Working with Franchise Development and Operations to lead decisions regarding suitability and readiness for new site/expansion with regards to financial and commercial acumen
  • Assessing return on investment for new sites and refurbishments
  • Assessing and supporting the management of franchisee debt, working with financiers and franchisees on loan refinancing and preparing loan and debt provisions
  • Manage and implement Commercial Team led projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing commercial advice and support to franchisees and other stakeholders, and leading decisions around commercial viability

  • Having previous experience in a similar role, with working knowledge of accounting principles, banking and funding requirements in a franchise, retail or multi‑site environment.
  • Being business degree qualified with a CA or CPA qualification.
  • Having strong financial and business acumen, and practised negotiation skills.
  • Being a problem solver, able to identify and manage risks and a desire to enhance efficiencies.
  • Having a desire to work with people – enjoying building relationships and partnering with others for successful outcomes!
